Put your knowledge of Matt and Paul to use and write or record your own roast. Good or bad, it will be used. Send it to mattcockburnshow@gmail.com

P.S. Who is visiting from Colorado?

Johnson’s Roast Recorded
19 April 2008, admin @ 10:53 pm

Phew! What a night. We recorded Johnson’s roast, here at the sprawling Cockburn Ranch, and had a few laughs doing it. The show went quite long and I will probably spend a day or two cutting it down in length. I may have to cut out the top 5. We’ll see.

Thanks to Sno for recording and sending Johnson a happy birthday greeting. She loved it.

Steph Jones Interview Recorded
15 March 2008, admin @ 8:30 pm

We just did the Steph Jones interview. It was a very last minute thing because of overbooking guests on the  3rd episode (to be recorded on the 22nd). So Paul the Engineer and I sat down with Steph. Well, we were opposite ends of the country, but you know what I mean. Steph is a great guy. Very down to Earth, very appreciative of compliments, all-around great guy and very, well, Ordinary… or Ordinary  . But, really, there’s nothing ordinary about this talented man. Interview should be up in a day or two.

Future Guests: Steph Jones and Brendan O’Shea
29 February 2008, admin @ 8:34 am

What an interesting experience I had last week! I worked on a shoot for a new website called wemix.com, which I think is a great idea. While at a showcase on Tuesday night at the Spotlight Cafe on Broadway, I saw an R&B act called Steph Jones. Man, let me tell you, this kid was great. And I can’t stand 99% of modern music. But this kid had it. The songs were catchy and well done, his stage presence was captivating and you could tell he was happy to be where he was. He had no attitude like he deserved to be there. We go to talking after the show and I invited him on the MCFRS. So, he will be our guest soon. Check him out.

A few weeks before I met Steph Jones, I was at McClellan’s Tavern at the glorious Gettysburg Hotel here in downtown Gettysburg. There a bevy of beauties walked in. They were in town performing Irish dancing. While I ogled their young bodies, the group of musicians that accompany them started playing in the corner. Then, a fella came in and began to play a song on his guitar and sing. The room was hushed as we listened to his angelic voice. The girls were in awe and I was pissed that I gave up on music. The cat’s name is Brendan O’Shea

He’s from Ireland but out of NYC now. He will be a guest on March 22’s taping for Episode 3 of the Matt Cockburn Fake Radio Show.

Julie Schreiber Interview Complete
16 February 2008, admin @ 11:38 pm

We did the JSB interview today and it went very well. Apparently, from what our producer Paul tells me, we pulled some kind of a coup by having live music on our show and, to a lesser extent, having guests in the studio. So, that’s cool. Anyway, the interview should be up early this week. We will post it as its own “Special”.

We’d like to enthusiastically thank Julie and Eric for coming by and having a good time with Cockburn and Johnson. We hope to have them on many more times!
