What an interesting experience I had last week! I worked on a shoot for a new website called wemix.com, which I think is a great idea. While at a showcase on Tuesday night at the Spotlight Cafe on Broadway, I saw an R&B act called Steph Jones. Man, let me tell you, this kid was great. And I can’t stand 99% of modern music. But this kid had it. The songs were catchy and well done, his stage presence was captivating and you could tell he was happy to be where he was. He had no attitude like he deserved to be there. We go to talking after the show and I invited him on the MCFRS. So, he will be our guest soon. Check him out.
A few weeks before I met Steph Jones, I was at McClellan’s Tavern at the glorious Gettysburg Hotel here in downtown Gettysburg. There a bevy of beauties walked in. They were in town performing Irish dancing. While I ogled their young bodies, the group of musicians that accompany them started playing in the corner. Then, a fella came in and began to play a song on his guitar and sing. The room was hushed as we listened to his angelic voice. The girls were in awe and I was pissed that I gave up on music. The cat’s name is Brendan O’Shea
He’s from Ireland but out of NYC now. He will be a guest on March 22’s taping for Episode 3 of the Matt Cockburn Fake Radio Show.
