What an interesting experience I had last week! I worked on a shoot for a new website called wemix.com, which I think is a great idea. While at a showcase on Tuesday night at the Spotlight Cafe on Broadway, I saw an R&B act called Steph Jones. Man, let me tell you, this kid was great. And I can’t stand 99% of modern music. But this kid had it. The songs were catchy and well done, his stage presence was captivating and you could tell he was happy to be where he was. He had no attitude like he deserved to be there. We go to talking after the show and I invited him on the MCFRS. So, he will be our guest soon. Check him out.
A few weeks before I met Steph Jones, I was at McClellan’s Tavern at the glorious Gettysburg Hotel here in downtown Gettysburg. There a bevy of beauties walked in. They were in town performing Irish dancing. While I ogled their young bodies, the group of musicians that accompany them started playing in the corner. Then, a fella came in and began to play a song on his guitar and sing. The room was hushed as we listened to his angelic voice. The girls were in awe and I was pissed that I gave up on music. The cat’s name is Brendan O’Shea
He’s from Ireland but out of NYC now. He will be a guest on March 22’s taping for Episode 3 of the Matt Cockburn Fake Radio Show.
Here is the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Cockburn and Johnson and their exclusive, no-holds-barred interview with Julie and Eric of the Julie Schreiber Band. They were great fun and we look forward to the next time they come on. Don’t ya think they could use a keyboard player?

NY, more specifically NYC, is #2 in visitorship to our site. We woudl like to know who you are and how you found us. Please drop us a line at mattcockburnshow@gmail.com. Do we know you?
We did the JSB interview today and it went very well. Apparently, from what our producer Paul tells me, we pulled some kind of a coup by having live music on our show and, to a lesser extent, having guests in the studio. So, that’s cool. Anyway, the interview should be up early this week. We will post it as its own “Special”.
We’d like to enthusiastically thank Julie and Eric for coming by and having a good time with Cockburn and Johnson. We hope to have them on many more times!
The one thing we want to do on the Matt Cockburn Fake Radio Show is provide a platform for talented people. We want to do our small part in helping your band, movie, song, whatever, get the attention you desire. It doesn’t matter what the talent is. If you think you have one, contact us. We’ll try to get you on.
Julie and Eric from the Julie Schreiber band will be our guests on Episode 2 of the Matt Cockburn fake Radio Show. Here’s a taste of what wonderful music they write. Check them out at http://www.julieschreiber.com
